LONDON (Bywire News) -On Thursday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the Northern Ireland segment of the Brexit deal is unsustainable, encouraging the EU to look at proposals made by London officials to change it.

When speaking to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Johnson said, "The prime minister set out that the way the Protocol was currently operating was unsustainable,"

"He urged the EU to look at those proposals seriously and work with the UK on them."
