MOSCOW (Bywire News) - On Wednesday, a Russian investigative body revealed that the co-onwer of a Siberian coal mine, the same coal mine where 51 people died back in November, following an explosion, has been detained alongside three top-mangers.

Earlier this month, Vladimir Putin accused the company's management of forging data regarding methane at the Listvyazhnaya mine in Kemerovo, the coal manufacturing region of Siberia. The disaster was one of the worst minining incidents that Russia has faced this century.

Mikhail Fedyaev, the co-owner, and his business partners control SDS-Ugol Holding, the owner of the mine.

Fedyaev and fellow top managers were arrested and charged with violation of safety measures or abuse of authority, as revelaed by the the investigative committee.

Just this month, during a televised meeting with Putin, Fedyaev said that he was "ready to bear any responsibility. It is impossible to bring people back".
