LONDON (Bywire News) - Every week the EOS community gets together online for updates about the latest developments in the ecosystem. You can see the full meeting for yourself on YouTube, but we’ve cherry-picked the best bits for you.

Yield+ launch

Denis Carriere was there with a review of the official Yield+ launch which will see qualifying DeFi protocols receive a 5% yield subsidy on their EOS and USD TVL. The purpose is to increase the development of DeFi applications and that seems to be working with a number of new DeFi projects getting online. Other teams are working to figure out their game plan for Yield+ and increase their rewards for users.

There is more marketing to be done on the DeFi system, but the teams are activated and ready to launch for the next phase.

Secure Smart Contract Libraries

An RFP has been put out through the Antelope coalition to provide open-source, pre-audited battle-tested code for AMMs and stable coins so anyone can build their own DeFi projects on Antelope. There is not a lot of open-source code for people looking to build DeFi. This will make it easier to build DeFi protocols and could increase TVL.

Pomelo Season 4 Grants

Pomelo has released its grant collectible NFT pack. The top 20 grants for matching pool raised have been commemorated in the form of an NFT grant collectible. They have also published an article on the Pomelo blog about all the projects so far. All of the money raised in these sales goes back into the matching pool to support public goods on EOS.

Season four officially kicks off on November 18th. Getting in your application early will be even more important than ever to ensure your project has been approved by the Pomelo team and is ready to go in time for donations to start.

They will be holding pitch sessions which give projects a chance to promote themselves to the community. Last time they had limited space available which meant they had select which ones got the opportunity. There will also be opportunities to apply to Chinese and Korean communities.

NovaCrypto Interviews

Patrick has done some interviews on Nova Crypto with the new set of Eden Chief Delegates which is a chance to learn more about their goals for their fourth term and for the future of Eden on EOS.

Decentralised whitelisting

Jesse Jaffe talks about the decentralised whitelisting idea. The concept he describes is how EdenonEOS can solve a problem for the WAX community. When you do a drop without a whitelist you’re exposed to bots. The current whitelisting measures are inefficient and labour-intensive.

This, Jesse believes, is a problem that people would like to be solved. He believes Eden is good at verifying unique individuals so what if they could onboard these members onto Eden? This would create an incentive for people to drop their NFTs on EOS.

“If Eden can solve a bit of a problem for the Wax community, that would put Eden on the map,” he says adding that this is what he’ll be spending his allocation on during his time as a chief delegate.

Eden fractal brainstorming

Patrick is launching a new initiative with Dan Singjoy called Eden Fractal brainstorming sessions. They had a fractally. The aim is to have a mind map live in a Zoom call where they brainstorm about proposals. They will publish an article on Bywire to explain the process.
