TOKYO (Bywire News) - According to a Japenese news agency, Jiji, announced on Monday that the Japanese government has begun planning to extend its state of emergency to Osaka, Kyoto, the western Japanese prefecture.

The state of emergency has already been declared in Tokyo and its three neighbouring prefectures, on Saturday however, the three prefectures requested the government to expand its regulations. The expansion is an attempt to halt the COVID-19 outbreak.
