LONDON (Bywire News) - The Antelope Scalability+ group has been researching the adoption of Antelope’s technological products and has identified a range of areas the protocol could improve to ensure the operational scalability of Antelope’s networks.

Due to the number of different chains that are employing Antelope technology and depending on their utilization, the protocol needs to be optimised in order for these chains to meet the demands of Web3 applications.

The blue paper shows a direct overview of what is believed to be current weaknesses in the ecosystem as well as a breakdown of recommendations for the protocol to move forward.

The authors of Scalability+ believe improving these specific areas highlighted in the blue paper, will enable Antelope to provide more scalable and easier networks for block producers as well as other developers such as API node operators.

The continued investment in looking for flaws in order to develop them before they become issues will, from the Scalability team’s perspective, ensure Antelope remains the fastest and most scalable blockchain platform available. It will make sure that Antelope can support the growth of active wallets, alongside increasing the adoption of new Web3 applications.

Antelope Scalability+ initiatives ensure that growing the Antelope ecosystem is consistent for other developers as they have a vital role in creating the applications that will be adopted by users. These initiatives will deliver better tooling to block producers, which will enable them to run key components efficiently at a scale aligned with the growth of the ecosystem.

Alongside working through different sections identified, the aim is to have prioritized initiatives that will give the protocol big wins but will also bring long-lasting benefits to the ecosystem. Each area of improvement will have a separate writeup with a Request For Proposal  (RFP) allowing groups to bid and then execute these prioritized improvements.

You can read the blue paper in full on the EOS Network website.
