Candace Owens: "This person [George Floyd] was high out of his mind. He asked to be put on the ground."

Samuel K: "Okay Candace, so did George Floyd also ask Derek Chauvin to kneel on his neck for nine fucking minutes? I mean what kind of argument is she using here?

The white supremacist grifter Candace Owens is unfortunately back in the news again after she made very clear how unhappy she was the former police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murdering George Floyd.

Now I just want to warn you that the video of her that I'm going to be reacting to is very disturbing and infuriating. She uses everything within her being to deny the brutality and guilt of Derek Chauvin in order to keep a narrative that police officers are never in the wrong, and it's always the fault of the black victim. So, yeah, buckle up."

Owens: "It's the wrong verdict, in my opinion, and I think that it's indicative of the fact that we now live in mob rule. This is mob rule."

Samuel K: Candace, like other conservative "journalists" are trying to make out that the guilty verdict wasn't a fair and objective one, because the jury were intimidated by the threat of riots and people attacking them. Which is funny, because just a few months ago when the Capitol rioters broke into government buildings because their reality TV star President lost the election, Candace Owens seem to think those riots were no big deal.

She tweeted: "Democrats in Congress are about as cringe as it gets. Their over the top dramatisation of January 6th made it apparent to governments in the east that our country is being run by toddlers in tiaras. They are cowards that nobody respects, within or outside of America."

So let's just get this straight: Mrs Law & Order is complaining about riots from black people protesting against decades of police brutality and violence, but the Capitol rioters who broke into government buildings looking to kill Democratic lawmakers is not a big deal - and maybe even a hoax, according to another tweet that she did."

Owens: "But when I watched the full tape, I was astonished that they didn't think to just at least add this context so that people understood: yes, this person was high out of his mind. He asked to be put on the ground. He was resisting arrest."

Samuel K: "Oh boy. So, what Candice is attempting to do here is muddy the waters. Notice how she says he was resisting arrest, and then she says he wanted to be put on the ground. Okay, so when he was on the ground, was he still resisting arrest? Well, no.

We all saw the video. He was on the ground with handcuffs on, and we also saw him pleading for his life for the officer to take his knee off his neck. But, funnily enough, for some reason Candace doesn't want to talk about that part."

Owens: "First the media said he was just getting his life together. Remember, St. George, right? He was just getting his life together, he had moved to Minnesota. Yes he had been in prison in the past, but he was just helping the youth, and everyone was crying and, and it was 'oh my gosh, this man is, you know, getting a second chance at life'.

And then they successfully hid every piece of evidence that would have transformed public opinion, right. Every piece of evidence that would have said, 'wait a second, there's more here'. Than they were upset when I released the video and just went over his track record, because it was clear to me according to his track record, it was very unlikely that a person that spends, you know approximately nine prisons stints - nine stints in prison - was really just getting his life together."

Samuel K: "Okay, so here's probably the most important part I want to make in this video. I don't care if George Floyd has been to prison ten, twenty, thirty times! What George Floyd did in his past with regards to criminal activity has no relevance to the fact that an officer knelt on a man's neck for nine minutes, and killed him.

It's just so weird to see conservative personalities try to bring up what George Floyd did five years ago, or what Breonna Taylor's boyfriend was involved in.

The fact of the matter is that police officers do not have the right to kill unarmed and restrained people. Period."

Owens: "Remember, the video that we saw - the 9 minutes - was somebody else shooting it. They never released this. Let's talk about how unusual that is, right. That they never released this full footage, so that we can at least see the context and see more - or at least be able to discern more facts, other than somebody who's a bystander filming the video."

Samuel K: "Okay, Candice, so now that you have seen the full footage, what do you think? Oh, your opinion is still the same as it was days after Floyd was killed, when you release that 18-minute long video talking about how he was a drug dealer and he was this, and he was that. Hmm, seems to me that conservative influences like Candace don't really care what the facts are.

There has not been one case of police brutality against black people that Candace has not immediately back the police.

Take for example the case of Breonna Taylor - a black woman murdered in her own home by police officers.

After a massive backlash and public outcry, a lot of misinformation started appearing online trying to make Breonna and her partner out to be drug dealers and heavily involved in crime. One of those people spreading those lies was Candace Owens.

She tweeted: "Idiot take: Breonna Taylor must have been shot because she was black, and not because her boyfriend was a career criminal drug dealer who fired at police first while she was standing behind him. It's RaYcISM."

Well, it turns out, as usual, Candace Owens was talking a load of shit.

But don't take my word for it - a Fox article noted that Breonna is not a drug dealer, and neither was her boyfriend. Her boyfriend doesn't actually even live with her.

How's that for facts, Candace?

Or, how about this fact, Candace: the Minneapolis Police Chief testified that pressing Floyd's neck for 9 minutes was not part of the department's policy.

I'm going to stop here because I think my point has been made.

Candace Owens is a grifter. She works for Prager U - an organisation that's literally funded by billionaires who make their money in fracking. So basically, anything you ever hear candidates say or do is a script. A script that downplays police brutality against black people, denies the existence of climate change."

Owens: "Do I believe in climate change? No."

Interviewer: "You don't believe in climate change!?"

Samuel K: "...and generally attacks any signs of progressive change in society.

If you've ever listened to Candace and thought: 'Hey, she sounds smart' - my warning to you is, be careful.

Candace Owens speaks in a smart way, but when you actually break down what she's saying, you realise her arguments don't make any sense."
