LONDON (Bywire News) - Boris Johnson's deputy has said that the Prime Minister is "on great form." He added that Johnson's speech to business leaders in which he deviated to speak about his trip to Peppa Pig World is not a reason to worry about his abilities as a leader.
On Monday, during a speech, Johnson lost his place and was left searching through his notes, before presenting the attendees of the Confederation of British Industry with a recollection of his visit to a Peppa Pig theme park.
When asked about the PM's speech, Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab said to BBC TV, "The Prime Minister is on great form,"
He added, "In relation to Peppa Pig, it is a fantastic British export around the world, and I think that was the point the Prime Minister was making."
Raab said, "I don't agree," when he was questioned on whether there were any serious concerns in regard to Johnson's ability to stand in power.
