EOS started as an idea that inspired thousands of the world’s best builders to work together. At first we shared great visions for the future, but lacked the ability to coordinate without depending on others.
We’ve worked diligently over the past five years to help everyone cooperate with greater independence, efficacy, and enjoyment. We’ve each grown together and learned so much. Throughout the vast array of experiences shared, we’ve all become more wise, resilient, resourceful, and better at helping. We’ve helped EOS evolve from primordial amorphousness into a cohesive community empowering the world with tools for independence and collaboration. We’ve shared countless stories that will inspire audiences with wonders for years to come.
Now, the community is far more coordinated and independent than ever before. We’re celebrating EOS Independence Day to mark the momentous consensus upgrade to a community led operating system for the future of Web3. The community is pioneering innovative ways to reach consensus and cooperate for mutual benefit. The once uncoordinated and dependent community is now leading by example. We’re showing how decentralized, autonomous organizations can coordinate to create a better future for all.
In a way every day is EOS Independence Day, because each day we’re working together to help everyone cooperate with greater independence. The community’s collaborated every day for the past five years to engineer freedom, reduce dependencies, and increase everyone’s power to create amazing experiences. Each day we strive for better and make great strides to empower communities. I’m grateful for all our progress so far and stoked for our future to help everyone enjoy ever greater independence!
