LONDON (Bywire News) - Ever since the establishment of the ENF and the removal of Block.one the journey towards a newer and better EOS has been ongoing. The network community has been constantly growing.

EOS has now come to the final hurdle to full independence with the establishment of a new protocol which comes into force on September 21st. Once this is out of the way, EOS will become an independent network run by its community of token holders. Upon completion, EOS and Antelope will be established as the largest DAO on the planet.

September 21st will see EOS perform a consensus upgrade as they fork Block.one’s EOSIO into the community-run Antelope. The ENF is urging node operators to upgrade their nodes before the fork in order to stay in sync with the EOS network. To help with this, they have published a guide with all the information operators will need to safely upgrade their nodes.

The hard fork will allow EOS and other chains associated with the Antelope ecosystem, to begin carving their path toward the original vision they had for EOS – as being the most scalable, inclusive, and decentralized chain in the world!

At the same time, ENF CEO Yves La Rose announced on Twitter that they would be making a range of investment strategic partnerships to coincide with what the ENF is calling EOS Independence day on September 21st.

Q4 will also see the arrival of ENF Ventures, their venture capital arm which will invest in projects which directly contribute to the EOS ecosystem.

Profits from its investments will be used to fund the operations of the ENF and this could offset the funding the ENF receives from the EOS network.

Meanwhile, the ENF is entering a multi-million dollar partnership with Object Computing to take the network forward.
