Revelation 16:17–21 describes the Seventh Bowl of Wrath to be poured out on the earth.

And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. — Revelation 16:17–21

This verse is the 7th Bowl of Wrath and yet is still mentioning “The great City”, Babylon. Clearly the Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls are not chronological, nor independent judgments, but different perspectives on the same set of judgments.

Following the understanding of Revelation and old testament Prophecies about the Day of YHVH as a description of Nuclear War as my prior video goes into in depth, I would like to unpack the Seventh Bowl and see what we can make out of it.

Because it “brings to remembrance” Babylon the great one must wonder if Nuclear war was just the opening act of the flaming mountain being thrown into the sea. Let us start with the last verse and work backwards.

And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. — Revelation 16:17–21
And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a אשה (fire offering) that sits in the midst of the ephah.(6 gallon payload) — Zechariah 5:7

The first thing I noticed is that the weight of the hail out of heaven is described exactly as the weight of the uranium / lead in the Nuclear missiles described by Zechariah. Coincidence? Knowing the Bible and YHVH, unlikely.

It also mentions it falls out of heaven, which also aligns with Zechariah.

they (two אשה, fires) lifted up the ephah (payload with a Talent of Lead/Hail) between the earth and the heaven. — Zech 5:9

Islands Fled & The Mountains Not Found

And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

This verse brings to mind images described by Suspicious Observer who suggests that “the science” predicts our sun will have a “micro-nova” sending electromagnetic energy surging through the earth, decoupling the thing layer of crust floating on a thousand miles of molten mantel and then causing the earth’s crust to rotate / tip over 90 degrees.

Such a shift would reshape the earth much like Noah’s flood and cause every land mass to move.

And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

The language certainly seems to describe such an event; however, perhaps there is a symbolic meaning to the language.

Earthquakes and Nukes have been symbolically linkedNoah’s flood likely caused the continents to split forming the Atlantic Ocean and Himalayan mountains.

The claim “nothing as great since men were upon the earth” would have to imply something greater than the great flood, or something of a very different nature. Watch the following video from Answers in Genesis to see how scientific simulations were able to reproduce the Pangea Continental drift in just one year and why “the official science” of millions of years does not explain the observations we see around us.

If we are to assume that the Fall of Babylon will not be as bad as the Flood because there is a 3.5 year tribulation to follow, then the greatness of these “earth quakes” must be of a different nature, likely Nuclear War.

What then are we to make of this verse?

And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

This certainly sounds like magnetic poll shift induced reshaping of the Earth’s surface, but could it be symbolic of something else?

As we have been learning in recent videos, “Mountains” are often symbolic of Nations. Daniel 2 describes a rock casting down Nebuchadnezzar’s statue of gold, silver, bronze representing all the kingdoms of the earth and then growing into a giant mountain (holy nation) that covers the whole earth.

And we know that when Babylon the great falls, “she will never be found/rise again” after being thrown into the sea. So this explains the mountains not being found.

What does the Bible say about Islands?

Lets go through every occurrence of the word “Island” in the Bible so we can understand the meaning of the symbol.

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up (rapture); and he shall save the humble person.
He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands. — Job 22:29–30

We are off to a great start! The Island represents those who are set apart, those who are saved, raptured from the day of his wrath!

And the heaven (sky) departed as a scroll when it is rolled together (the nuke); and every mountain (nation) and island (innocent) were moved out of their places. — Revelation 6:14

If we go back to the 6th seal we see that every mountain (nation) was moved: thrown into the sea… but also the island was moved out of their places (the rapture). This is yet another symbolic reference linking the 7th Bowl to the 6th seal and therefore to the fall of Babylon.

But wait, there is more! In Acts chapter 27 and chapter 28, Paul is prisoner on a ship that is caught in a “whirl wind”.

But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous (whirl wind) wind, called Euroclydon (a cyclonic tempestuous northeast wind, like a hurricane in the Mediterranean, that blows mostly in the autumn/winter).
And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive (to carry, to bear up, to bring forth).
And running under a certain island which is called Clauda (enclosure, safe haven), we had much work to come by the boat:
And sounded, and found it 20 fathoms: and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it 15 fathoms.Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island. — Acts 27:25–26

Strong’s Concordance (2015), epiphánei, “an epiphany”, a means appearing, manifestation, glorious display, in the NT, 2015 (epipháneia) occurs six times, always used of Christ’s coming.

And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita (honey-sweet; calm).
And we were in all in the ship 276 (immutable) souls. — Acts 27:37

In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius (“of the people”, hero who saved Rome); who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.

So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed: — Acts 28:9

The last and final mention of the word Island in the entire Bible:

The wild beasts (gentile nations, lost sheep of Northern tribes) of the desert (wilderness) shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.
…And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line (dividing the inheritance): they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein. — Isaiah 34:17

My interpretation of this is that those who go through tribulation (beasts of the desert) will join with those who escaped to the Island (raptured) and we shall all find our rest in a land he will divide for us.

Note that the context of Isaiah 34:17 is Elohim’s wrath against the nations and his judgment.

For it is the day of YHVH’s vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. — Isaiah 34:8

Conclusion

And every island fled (flew, vanished, escaped) away, and the mountains (wicked nations, Babylon) were not found.

Islands will not be shifting on the Earths crust and literal mountains will not disappear. The nations (Babylon the Great) will disappear (thrown into the sea).

He will save the innocent, those covered by the Blood of Yeshua, and keep them enclosed in a safe place, known as calm and honey sweet. We will be carried their in a whirl wind (Like Elijah), and when we arrive the sick will be healed. We will be there for 3 days and then join the others who came out of the wilderness. Likely after the Abomination of Desolation causes the woman to flee to the Wilderness.
