WATCH: Arrest made after car drives into pro-Palestine protestors in Nottingham

LONDON (Bywire News) - A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a car was driven into a group of pro-Palestine protestors in Nottingham on Saturday.

According to Nottingham police, the incident occurred at around 3pm in the Fisher Gate area, with one person suffering leg injuries as a result.

Gerard Milano, Assistant Chief Constable for Nottingham police, told Nottingham Post:

"We’ve arrested a man as part of a live investigation into an incident that happened in Fisher Gate at around 3pm yesterday (Saturday, May 15).

"As a result of our ongoing enquiries, we are questioning a 51-year-old man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving. He remains in police custody."

A spokesperson for Nottingham police added: "A man suffered leg injuries as a result of the incident which remains under investigation."

Another pro-Palestine protestor was injured in a similar incident on Kensington High Street in London on the same day.
